Hello everyone. I've been a long time viewer of this place and it's been very helpful. I have a question that I do not believe has been covered, and if it has please forgive me. I have a collection of about 200 DVDs that I am in need of backing up since everyone else in this house isn't as interested as I am in taking care of them . I'd like to get them all backed up ASAP so I can preserve my originals, but I'm worried that if I burn too many a day I'll break my burner. In your opinion, what would you recommend be the maximum amount of DVDs I backup a day?

I don't think "burns a day" is relevant to the life of the hardware. A good burner will last a long time and will survive many burns, even under constant use. If yours can't handle a full day of back-to-back burning, it's probably not a good burner, and they're relatively inexpensive to replace.
