Hello thar, I'm having some issues with my Amcap software.

I guess you should know that I'm using this (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1632017&Sku=O38-1072) video capture/tv tuner device.

The issue I'm having with Amcap is that the Audio is delayed by about 2 seconds and this is just not acceptable.

Could anyone recommend better software to use or a fix? Please help me.

Amcap hehehe..

VirtualDub or VirtualVCR are great places to start

I should make it clear what I'm trying to do is play consoles on my computer monitor. Amcap was working fine except for the two second delay on the sound.

Of the two programs you showed me I got VirtualVCR to work, but I can't get the sound to work at all.

I see. I usually recommend dscaler for that purpose, as it's ideal for real-time work.

It's deinterlace filters don't work so well for some playstation 2 games (gran turismo 4 is my only console game ;)), so I also use Media Player Classic's "open device", which basically opens a directshow chain including ffdshow, so that I can use it's avisynth interface to use yadif, which is a great, fast deinterlacer. bobbing and decimating gives great results.
