I'd like to save some of my DVR-MS files (hi def) but I'm having trouble finding the tools. I tried doing a ton of searches in google and various forums but I think I lack the technical knowledge to figure it out.

At the moment, I'm using DVRMSToolbox to convert the DVR-MS files to MPEG. It seems to do a fine job. I want to edit the resulting MPEG files and only encode the parts I want to keep.

Unfortunately, I can't find a good tool to edit a MPEG file that will then output H.264. I can output Xvid out of Virtualdub, but I'm not happy with the resulting video quality.

Thanks for any help.
