Hey there, I'm a bit new to burning and am having trouble...I used DVD Decrypter to rip a legit region 1 Star Wars DVD to my computer. I have the ISO file and everything and it plays perfectly when I mount the image.

After this I took a DVD +R duel layer black disc and used Decrypter again to burn the ISO to the DVD. This was successful as well, and when I used my PCs DVD player to play it, it worked.

But when I put the DVD into my DVD player, it didn't work and I can't figure out what I did wrong...?

Maybe your dvd player doesn't like that particular brand of dvd+r. Have you successfully played any of those discs in your player?

No, it was just the one I had. I actually have a stack of Memorex duel layers, maybe I should try those.

Make sure you use the MDS file if you're burning with DVD Decrypter. You should also use only Verbatim DVD+R media to help ensure burns that will work in most players.

Hi!

In addition to using ONLY Verbatim D/L DVD+R burnable media, use IMGBurn to burn your D/L media. It will provide you with the ability to select the best possible layerbreak (critical to successful standalone playback), as well as, if applicable to your burner, the ability to apply bitsetting/booktyping - for improved standalone playback ability...
