Well guys, I can't find 3.98 Beta 4 MT version (multithreading).
P.S. I heard that MT isn't as good for audio as for video encoding? Is that true?

MP3 was not made for MT processing. Frames can "borrow" bits from their neighbours, they are stored in the bitreservoir.
So it is not possible to split processing to multiple threads without disabling the bitreservoir.
The bitreservoir is mainly important when you use constant bitrate, but is also used with VBR

So, you telling me that multithreading isn't good for MP3. But why somebody made 3.97 beta 2 MT?
If multithreading disable bitreservoir, is that mean that Lame MT has much lower sound quality then original Lame? And why, please explain.
What's situation with AAC codecs?

If there are some files to encode foobar detects a number of cores and encodes several files at the same time. It helps to load all cores and speeds up.

Lame 3.97a MT can be found here... doesn't seem to have been worked on in awhile.
