Anyone knows how to solve the problem of crashing of my B.S.Player PRO v.2.21 whe tryig to play some video files of about 120MB and compressed with Xvid asd codec at some Polish site? I have tried to recompress into DivX with the VirtualDub but BSPlayer still crashes after 3 seconds as with Xvid asd files.
Playing in Windows Media Player makes no crashes but I can't load subtitles then!

You'll have to point to the files in question, first to determine legitimacy - help with downloaded movies that are under international copyright is not allowed here, and when in doubt the thread will be closed, see rule 6 - and second to determine if there's anything wrong with the files themselves and how it might be fixed.

ASD as I understand it are a Polish group who re-encode others TV releases. They would be using just a standard Xvid build I would think. But yeah, breach of rule 6 for sure.

Solution: Don't use BSplayer, it has so many incompatibilities that its ridiculous.

There are plenty of media players that work properly with both subtitles and most major filters (FFDShow, Haali, etc). BSPlayer isn't one of them.

Anyways, in before the OP is struck for rule 6.
