Hi. I have some shorts ASF clip (about 20' each, whose size is about 35 MB each).
I searched an useul application to convert the movie in a format which my DVD player can read and I found Boilsoft. I have some problem:
1) how can I organize a batch processing, in Boilsoft? If I encoded any pass manually I would spend too much time.
2) My second problem is how to choose the codec bitrate.
I don't know how to choose a bitrate saving most of the input ASF quality.
Alas, I have noticed that DivX files need sort-of 'minimum' datarate whereas ASF does not.
A 20' ASF movie 35 MB large has an average quality, a 20' AVI 35 MB large has a lousy one.
Is there sort-of formula which can be used (like bitrate = B0 + k*DURATION for a 'good' quality or, at least a suggestion (like "never go lower than B kbps)?
