Hi everyone!

I have one problem. In short I got a dvd, ripped it and produced a 1,5 Gb file with high bitrate. Then I deleted the original DVD data, the project file, the frame server file.
Now I want to produce an avi file with lower size (approx. 700Mb) and, of course, lower bitrate.
Is it possible somehow to do this conversion with my 1,5Gb file and GK without any original DVD data?
If not what kind of tools I need to use?

Thanks alot in advance.

Hi!I got a dvd, ripped it and produced a 1,5 Gb file with high bitrate. Is it possible somehow to do this conversion with my 1,5Gb file and GK without any original DVD data?I personally can't tell you how you could further compress the .AVI without a significant loss of quality but,
If not what kind of tools I need to use?Just re-rip the original DVD and compress it at a lower bitrate...

thanks for the participation.
so the short answer - is that I cannot do it. =(
actually it's hard to believe that there is no other ways... I mean - I don't care about the quality, coz the original 1,6 Gb avi file will always be there to get again....

There's also this sticky (http://forum.doom9.org/announcement.php?f=6) which further explains with what material we can and cannot (and will not) help you.
