Hi,
I read these forums for hours now, but I could not solve this little issue I have.

My new Pentax Optio A30 digital still camera produces DivX-AVI video with 30 fps. But it really is 25 fps with one frame held every 4 frames. Like this: ABCDDEFGHH...

I tried RePal to convert it to straight 25 fps by deleting those held frames, but the resulting fps was 12.5.

What am I doing wrong? Is there an easier way to achive what I need? The frames are not interlaced, btw.

Just removing the dupes will get you 24fp, not 25fps.

4/5 * 30 -> 24

You can try:

FDecimate(25.0)

I looked on that pattern and found out that it isn't constant at all.

I think, the easiest solution is to use a decimator like Tdecimate:


avisource("blah.avi")
tdecimate(mode=2, rate=25)

Very weird that in the end it is not even a straight 25>30 fps, but something even jerkier.

Anyway, I only had to demux the sound, because I got a "ACM failed to suggest a compatible PCM format". Looks very good now.
