VC-1/AC3 .ts audio sync problem

So I have this hd-dvd rip of a movie, but there is one slight problem. The audio is about 500ms too early throughout the entire movie.

How do I go about fixing this?

Does the original, commercial HD-DVD exhibit the same asynchronous behavior?
