MPC: DVD playback impossible under Vista?

Used MPC for years under XP without any problems. Recently went over the Vista, and cannot manage to play DVDs anymore.

if i put the DVD into my drive MPC starts as it should, but after a while i get the message at the bottom "dvd: copy protect fail"

trying to load an DVD from the disc, fails immediately. and gives the error message "dvd: incompatible disc and decoder regions"

help? can i make MPC work under vista, if not....what other slim player are there out there that work for everything.

You've got a regionfree DVD-ROM I think, which Vista doesn't like.

I play dvds in mpc in vista all the time. i tend to agree w/arfster.
