Removing pulldown flags from a progressive NTSC source

Hi,

Is there a way to remove the pulldown flags from a progressive NTSC m2v/mpv file?
It is so easy to insert them using dgpulldown but I can't find a program to remove them. I want to edit the m2v stream so I have to remove the pulldown. Creating a d2v file using dgindex doesn't work for me.

You can do it with DGPulldown. Use the custom frame rate and set both the starting and ending rates to the rate of your stream. Don't you read users manuals? :)

From the DGPulldown manual:

"Note that if the custom rate conversion is selected, and if the source rate is
specified as equal to the destination rate, then all pulldown is removed and the
stream is flagged as having a rate equal to the specified destination rate."

I don't know if that will work (since you are the creator of dgpulldown I guess you know :)). Doesn't it turn a progressive stream into an interlaced stream?
I only read the text file that came with dgpulldown, and it only explains the option you can select in the program. I didn't know there was a manual. Sorry.

I only read the text file that came with dgpulldown, and it only explains the option you can select in the program. I didn't know there was a manual. Sorry. The text file *is* the manual. It's right in there. Maybe you have an earlier version. Check the latest one.

Heck no! What would give you that idea? All it does is remove the pulldown flags, which is exactly what you asked for.
I thought that because of the "top field first" option.

Ah, I see. But think about it. When you play video to an interlaced display, even if it is progressive video, the display process has to play one field at a time, and it wants to know which to play first. If the video is progressive, it doesn't matter which comes first; if it is interlaced video, it's very important to get it right.
