Hi, i was wondering if there's any high quality guide for a TV-Rip somewhere?

Let's say i've captured a 60min movie with MJPG codec @ 640x480 (PAL 25fps), and i've got an AVI file around 8-10gb ... first, can i crop the blackborders so it will work like a dvd-rip and adding blackborders when i watch it in fullscreen?
what should i resize the movie to?

which app and which settings should i use to get the best quality? can i use 2-pass?
it would be really nice if u was able to run an AVI in Gknot

when i'm finished i want a 60min movie at 690mb or something

Yes you can crop, resize back to 640x480 or you can resize down - keep the aspect ratio. Read the guide for app settings. Goto your other post about Gknot and next time try to keep all your questions in one post, not double posting.
