About a month ago I posted two new layers of AACS device keys that are located immediately above the sub-device key discovered back in February (February (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=122664), June (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=126816)). Today I want to share an additional two layers of device keys that are even higher up in the tree. This gives us a total of 31 AACS device keys that have now been published. Is it just me or is it actually getting easier to find these keys? :D

3) I created a program called TreeGen that allows you to do your own key derivations. Just open a command prompt in Windows, navigate to where you saved the program, type TreeGen.exe [key] [depth] and the program will derive all left branch, right branch and processing keys via recursion. The key parameter should be a 32 character hex value. The depth parameter is an optional zero-based value that determines how many levels to derive child keys. Type "TreeGen.exe D6767EE013AC19D42233CBF26A631B48 4" to reproduce the detailed derivation results above.

NOTE 1: All 31 of these keys should have already been revoked by MKB v3, although I haven't verified this yet.
NOTE 2: In response to requests from the community, I will release the source code for TreeGen in the next couple of days.

Looks like FOX (http://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p=139745&postcount=1402)is waiting for the next batch of AACS keys too:
I can appreciate that from a consumer point of view, it might seem like more should be happening to promote Blu-ray, but there is more going on than you relealize. Addressing two of your concerns, Fox's position is not unreasonable. If you have followed them for any length of time, you may know that they take content protection very seriously. At the moment, it is not possible to release any HD title without the knowledge that it can be compromised. Help for this is in the works in the form of new AACS keys and BD+, but geting these prepared is taking more time than anyone expected.

Articles like this and ignorant statements like the one that Richard Doherty made a few days ago amuse me. It reminds me of a quote attributed to Bill Gates that "640kb ought to be enough for anyone."

Rest assured FOX, BD+ will fall too. It's just a matter of time. :sly:

It is obvious that any new keys and eventually also BD+ will be circumvented. For BD+, it will just be a matter of time and with FOX rumoured to release up to 50 titles in Q4, plenty of source material to work with ;)

DVD was cracked years ago, an so the movie studios know that any dvd release will be compromised, and that has not stopped them from releasing DVDs. so that post sounds like BS to me.

When I see a company say "we take content protection seriously" in reference to their movies/music/etc, what I hear is "don't buy from us". Sony's rootkits came shortly after they made a similar statement.
