View Full Version : Tool for audio synchronization needed

Hi there!

Please don't beat me, if I'm not writing in the right section ...

I'm looking for a synchronization tool - a very fundamental one:
I would like to observe the a/v correlation viewing the video (as a sequence of pictures) and the audio as a waveform.
A "timeshifting" capability and a testing possibility (maybe with slow-motion) would be nice.

Any suggestions?
Many thanks in advance :)

So far I've used MPC and loaded the audio dub to be synced as a separate track, then chose a scene with a tight audio-video correlation (door shutting, macro lip movement), and adjusted the delay in the "Audio Switcher" dialog.

You might try SyncView (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/SyncView).
I haven't used it personally, but have seen it recommended elsewhere.

Thank's to everyone for these useful hints!
Unfortunately I couldn't get SyncView to run stable until now.
I'll try it on an other machine too - we'll see...
Thank's again!
