Sorry if this is the wrong section, but I don't think it is.
I have a WMV that I purchased online, and I want to decrypt it. I have WMP 11 Final (v11.0.6000.6324, according to mirakagi.exe).
I first played the WMV, and it got the licenses and played fine. I cannot fast-forward or rewind in the video playback, though, not sure if that makes a difference.
So, I ran mirakagi and it seemed to get the keys.
I then ran FairUse4WM v1.3-fix2, and tried to decrypt the WMV. It gets near to the end, then quickly skips to the end and gives me an error, stating that:
"C:\Encrypted\Video001.wmv UNABLE TO DECRYPT: Packet truncated, 52275 needed, 525 remains, at offset 7475"
My best guesss it that the file suddenly ended before it expected??
Any help is greatly appreciated.
If you need the log from mirakagi.exe, I can give you that... I'm uncertain as to post it now, it seems like it contains the actual keys, and that might be against forum rules.
Thanks again.
UPDATE: okay, i tried another method. i used FairUse4WM to find the SID and KID or whatever of the WMV. Then, I used drm2wmv.exe to decrypt. It didn't work. So, i tried drm2wmv_e.exe, and it went 10%, then stopped. It DID output a file, which seems to be identical, and plays. However, the output file is around a fifth the orignal's filesize.
I don't know wether it plays all the way yet - I still can't fast-forward or rewind though.
UPDATE 2: The file does not play all the way - it stops several minutes in, though it claims to be the full length still.
