portable video-rec tool ?

i am looking for a nice, smart screen video capture-tool which is portable and can be used without instllation directly from an usb stick.

Why the aversion to installation?

I don't think camstudio requires it. You can install it, then copy the files to a usb key and take them elsewhere. All codecs do require installation, however, so you're sort of up a creek if you want camtasia, MSU screen lossless, or one of the other common screen codecs. I guess WMV screen might work, if it's available.

There's a lot of good reasons to have portable applications, if you don't have a laptop. (And sometimes even if you do.) It can save you a lot of time when you need something done quickly. And there's always the potential for mischief, as well. =p
