ugh, so watch out for flying PC and xbox hd-dvd drive. It doesnt work I get the "Filters cannot agree" error, see below.
Im trying to get the hd-dvd made into a divx or xvid file.

1. fresh format XP+SP2 with all windows updates completed
2. I downloaded all these (subsequently also downloaded ffdshow June 9 2007 tryouts version and im running DX9c
a) AnyDVD HD or BacupHDDVD
b) EVO Demux
c) DTS/AC3/DD+ source filter
d) Sonic Cineplayer Decoder Pack 4.2
e) AC3 filter
f) AC-3 ACM Codec for Windows
g) DivX Pro 6.6.1 bundle (recommended for best results)
h) Avisynth 2.5.7
i) graphedit
j) VirtualDub
on a pentiumD 2.8G with 1gig ram and built-in intel vidcard

I got the evo demuxed into mpv(vc1) file and an audio track

3. I tried the video graphedit first, this is what I got
(once you see the pic click on the + magn glass to get full res)

and now here are some more details on the pin properties. output pin on the File Source (Async) prints the same as Input pin for Demuxer
you will notice that the Demux properties, I can select the Video stream field VC1... BUT my apply button is still greyed out, when I hit OK and come back to the demux properties, the video stream field is empty.

I also looked at the pin properties in the Add Filter, and the Demux and VideoDecoder seem to have matching filters.
This is the Demuxer pins
