Hey! I'm having some trouble dealing with a VFR video and had two questions.

1) How do you determine if a VOB if VFR or not? If it's with eyes, what should I look for? Is it duplicate frames? And if it is, do they have to be exactly the same? Or, can they have a slight camera angle change or a slight motion?

2) How do you handle VFR content/videos? I know YATTA does and I use it as well but I'm not quite sure on how to use it to handle it. If someone can help me, it would be appreciated. I know there are other ways (DecombVFR?) and if that can do it, I don't mind using that either.

If anybody can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

P.S: And, it's in the wrong forum, I apologize since I thought there might be some filters that could do it.

Thanks,
Prim3

VFR is normally 24/30 segments: Some areas are telecined, while others are 30p or 60i. MeGUI has an excellent automated detection engine, to save you some time, in its script creator. For more information, you can see the wiki (http://avisynth.org/mediawiki/VFR), or animesuki.

Oh.

Is there a way to do it manually? Like, maybe through AviSynth or something? I've tried TIVTC and it didn't seem to work.

Thanks,

Yes with Myrsloik's ivtc GUI, YATTA (http://ivtc.org/). Grab the manual by nmap if needed. :)

I have YATTA. I've read the manual many times and I use it currently as well.

The problem is that I'm sort of confused on VFR stuff. They are all ccccc matches but how do you spot them with your eyes? ie: Duplicate frames? Do these frames have to be exactly the same?

Also, can you possibly explain how to do it with YATTA?

Thank-you,
