I've just tried to playback a dvd in Zoomplayer which contains a single audio stream of 2 channel mpeg audio 1 - which is what I encoded & this is confirmed by MediaInfo.
Zoomplayer is configured to use Microsoft's DVD Navigator & FFDShow for audio.
The video plays fine but I get no audio. The vob played directly sounds ok so I guess the problem is with the wretched navigator cum splitter.
A look at the filter graph in Zoomplayer shows DVD Navigator is claiming to output ac3, despite the stream being mpeg audio. There was no filter error & ffdshow shows itself to be in use, however it informs me it has no input - not too surprising given it was told the wrong thing.
If I change the audio decoder to Nero or Cyberlink the dvd plays fine - I assume as those decoders can cope with being given the wrong info, perhaps as they don't take as modular an approach as FFDShow has to in respect of supporting multiple formats.
Is this a known problem? Google doesn't turn anything up with a casual search. Is it possible to fix or workaround, such that I still can use FFDShow for audio?
Thanks.
