I am trying to make a backup of my dvds.
I have found the following on the mummy returns and gladiator pal region 2 dvds:
There is something strange with the last vob file of the movies.
I have tried and tried again. If I take and make the last vob file into m2v and ac3 files using xmpeg and cce sp 2.62 streamweaver gives me the following error:
Format error
internal buffer error; next buffer does not contain start of frame or GOP. Only one ok button. Here I hit ok.
Next:
Want to continue?
Possible Corrupted Video Stream! Frame number 171797 is missing from the time codes table. There are 171799 total frames in the stream.
The frames above is from trying to rip the entire mummy 2.
All other vob files works fine. But the last vob file on both movies gives me this trouble. I tried the vob files seperatly and found this out.
I have ripped them off the dvd using dvd decrypter 3.0.0.8 with the default setting: Detect Mastering Errors (default is turned off).
However dvd wise works fine but gets out of sync. BBmpeg works fine and is in sync but problems with authoring (no sound in disc mode only in file mode.
I have found this info regarding this setting: DVDs subject to 'Mastering Errors' have 1 or more files on them that cannot be ripped properly (and in full) via the conventional 'check for a key once per file' method. The program needs to check for a key whenever the VOB / CELL ID changes.
Maybe I have to turn this setting on when I rip the file of the dvd?
Maybe turining detect mastering errors will fix my problems?
It has to be something very wrong with the last vob file since all other vob files works fine...
Thanks for any info you guys can gimme :)
