Sorry for posting a 'best software' topic earlier. After that post I did a dig around and came up with the following process.

1. created a 'backup' of a dvd (re-authored version - backing up only the main movie) using DVD Shrink
2. Converted it to PSP-MP4 format using AnyVDO converter
3. Created E:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01, where E: is the Memory Stick Pro Duo (1gb) of my PSP
4. Moved/Copies AnyVDO converted files to 100MNV01.

It does work fine and all that. But the problem I have which is doing my head in is that the files are not loaded in order. So to watch the movie, I need to browse to the next correct file.

To clarify: the movie is split into 5 files: mov1, mov2, mov3, mov4, mo5
When the files are converted, the renaming by AnyVDO (I have tried 3GPconverter also, same thing) is not logical. So mov5 could actually be the 1st logical file and mov2, the last. Due to this renaming the files are moved in the same numerical order. Hence the need to browse for the correct file.

I hope i have explained the issue clearly.

Is there any software out there which will allow combining for the split files into just one file, in proper order, so that only one file is moved to PSP??

Thank you.

Thank you to neuron2 for putting me on the straight and narrow with a :readrule:.:o

And thank you, setarip for your tip.

Can I safely assume the process in my first post to be right? Can any other software to a better job as compared to the one's I have mentioned?

I'm not really after IMAX sorta quality. So long as I can watch movies on my PSP with decent quality video and audio.

It does work fineIf you combine your methodology with the information I gave you regarding a single file, you should be "home free" ;>}

Cheers Setarip,

Should I also uncheck the 'Create Video_TS and Audio_TS subfolders??

Cheers.

Will do a test run now.

DVD > DVD Shrink main movie (unchecked Split files) > AnyVDO to convert > Transfer to PSP.

Thank you.
