Best options to rip with DivX 6.6

Hello people

I have to rip some VOBs videos of my camera and maybe I choose the DivX 6.6 encoder to do it. But I don't know if it's the best option than Xvid for example. What do you think?

Finally I will probably choose the DivX 6.6 Profesional encoder and I want to know what are the best options to choose. I will use also for the rip the Gordian Knot program. For that I will be very grateful if someone can tell me the options (with images if it is posible) to choose in the 2 pass that I will do. I forget that I will use also around 1050 kbit/s of bitrate and I want to use the final AVI in DivX compatible players.

Do not ask "what's best" because this question cannot be answered objectively. Each and everyone has their own view about what's best in a certain area. The best is what works best for you!

download Auto-GK and make 2 encodes, one with xvid and one
with divx. you probably wont be able to tell a differents.
i prefer xvid (mainly b/c its open source and no bloatware) but
have read that xvid is better on dark sources. in the end only
you are able to tell whats better, thats why there is no best.
its all a matter of taste and opinion.
its a LOT easier the GK and if you dont care about the filesize
just do a quality encode @75%.
if you wanna do it manually, there are enough guides. you just
have to read them :p
