Hi guys,
Can anyone help me?
I have a filming that has the audio all wrong.
The cause of this was that the feed was too loud producing audio clipping through the whole video.
here is a music sample mp3 (http://users.tpg.com.au/adsl7at7/Clipping.mp3)
here is a Voice sample mp3 (http://users.tpg.com.au/adsl7at7/Clipping voice sample.mp3)
Does anyone know if there is anyway to fix this?
Thanks

I know you can get a Clipped Peak Restoration plug-in for Sound Forge, but I've never used it. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Or your samples are already modified or the problem is not audio clipping.
Better than 'Clipped Peak Restoration' you need 'Click and Crackle Removal' or 'Audio Restoration' (talking about Sound Forge)

Some light expansion can be quite effective as well. If the result has a bit too much fluctuation in level, then apply some light upward compression. It takes some experimenting to get the right combination, but this can help a lot. Sometimes what seems like clicking, clipping, etc., is really just overloading the output. Same goes for what appears to be flattopped clipped peaks in a waveform view. If you zoom in and the peaks are just very shallow but chopped off to flat square waves, then some restoration is possible. If they are flat with square corners, then more serious work is needed and the results will never be as good.

Hi,
IMHO they are not clipping in the voice clip (i've not downloaded music clip). I've denoised it with audacity (1.3.3 beta) and the result can be acceptable. I've selected a zone withouth real sound in the begining of the clip and with that seed, i've denoised the whole clip.
