Sometimes I want to take a point from a graph of a wave file and drag it to a frame from the video to sync the two up, but I have not found a program that will do that. Is this something that an avisynth filter could do? Anyone up for writing one? Ideally such a filter would have 2 modes one where you select two points to match and it stretches the video or the audio, and a simple mode where it just adjusts the delay.

i like the idea, but i have no idea how to make it work. i definitely think it is possible to overlay an audio graph in a corner of the video or something. the issues of stretching the audio and changing the delay could be done separately. but if anyone knows how to make avisynth overlay an audio graph, i would like to second the OP's request.

AudioGraph (http://avisynth.org.ru/docs/english/externalfilters/audiograph.htm) filter.
