i am having trouble playing .ts files. i read up on them downloaded a bunch of codecs and players, etc, but have been unable to get them to play. i get sound just fine, but no video. ive tried every possible combination in graphedit, but no video, just audio.

the files are planet earth, 1080p, HD-DVD. they say they are VC1. how the heck do i play them??? do i need to demux them? im a relative beginner to HD-DVD, but i know my way around graphedit.

Yes, that's why this is a forum about encoding, not about playing back files illegally downloaded on the internet.

Note the lack of a "Playback Issues" forum... :rolleyes:

Is there a need to actually ask him where the files came from? I hate that attitude. The fault is his, I suppose, for saying he downloaded the files.
Now, the guy can't be helped and the thread will be closed!

@jcar

Hi!Is there a need to actually ask him where the files came from?Yes, when different source material would result in different responses - and, in this instance, the poster seemed to be indicating contradictory sources...
