Are any resizers out there currently multithreaded? Also, does MT() work with any resizers? It would be really nice to get a little bump in speed because I have a dual core cpu (amd 4200+). I bought a dual core processor over 2 years ago thinking that developers would catch on a little faster than they are.... :mad:

AFAIK, MT() still does not work with resizers.
You'd have to use SetMTMode() instead.

i have had some problems with SetMTMode() that causes MeGUI to stop working and spit out "error" in the progress area. i have heard that other people experience this too, so does anyone have any hints about what SetMTMode() is unstable with?
also, for the section where you set what level (1 being most efficient and least compatible, 6 being least efficient and most compatible), does anyone know of a list of functions and filters that are compatible by level? for example, if you were to say (btw, i dont actually know if this is true) that FluxSmoothST(7,7) is compatible up through level 2, but not level 1... something like that.

RTFM! MT() works perfectly well with all of the resizers, you just have to manually separate the Horizontal and Vertical parts of the resize and MT() each part individually.

do you loose any quality if you seperate fields and then resize each of them? and also, could you maybe post a script to show how you would do this... :rolleyes: i'm still a bit of a n00b.

Internally, the resizing is two separate operations, so there's no quality lost at all.

cool, i tried it out, and the speed increase is small, but appreciated. about 3% faster for lanczos and 4% faster with spline36. thanks for the help and advice everyone. :)
