Shouldn't be lots of changes. And due to the LFE hum bug (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=125274) (the fix didn't make it to this build yet), I recommend not to encode DVDs 5.1ch->5.1ch audio to NeroDigital until the fix is out. 2-channel audio is ok though.

Any chance you will be releasing the custom fix for us here? :)

I don't know. I'd put the fix out immediately if it was up to me. Trying to push it all the time but so far no luck.

Don't know if it is a bug in Recode or in Showtime (I bet on Showtime):
When I encode an AVC video in Recode with expert settings and set bframes higher than 1,
Showtime can't show that video.
All other players can (VLC, MPC, PowerDVD, etc.)

Well I'm at least glad they worked on it. I've been having so much trouble with Nero Digital, just too many bugs. First issue was the encoder creating files that were either too large, or too small, usually effected by other tasks being run on your computer (there forever). Then there was the telecine bug, now the 5.1 hum bug. When will we get a release that we can finally use?

I have bframes 3 max set and I also tried setting 3 ref frames. No problems playing.
What settings you used exactly? Can you upload your non-working clip somewhere?

ToddG: I believe the next Recode 7.x update has these major problems fixed. I agree the reaction time for major/critical problems should be faster, I've suggested a hotfix-section and faster reaction for this kind of situations, but no idea if my suggestions bear fruit.

Thank you JohnV! I guess the only thing we can do is wait. :)

I don't have any problems with your clip playing with latest Showtime.
Does anybody else get any error in ShowTime? Wishbringer's clip available here:

I have. ShowTime reports: "Runtime Error"
(I have Nero 7 Premium Reloaded v7.8.5.0)
I also have some strange things, ShowTime can't play certain Recode's AVC encodes (HDTV AVC profile). Once I demux them to elementary stream, ShowTime can play.
Anyway, I didn't bother to figure it out, cause mpc+haali+ffdshow can play them.

Can you try with latest version:

So HDTV AVC encodes also worked, but some you needed to demux? Was there any error message? I'd be interested if you can produce a non-working stream for me.

Yes I will try. :)

Problematic Recode's mp4 (HTDV AVC) demuxed via Yamb to elementary stream is playable in ShowTime, otherwise is not - I'm getting error massage in ShowTime when stream is in mp4 container.
ShowTime playable Recode's mp4 (HTDV AVC) seems to have only 1 b-frame.

Only video is encoded (without audio), and res. is anamorphic.

Ok, I'll check ShowTime from Nero v7.10.1.0, once I download it from nero site.

@Wishbringer: Make sure one more time that you indeed have the latest Nero release installed. There was a similar problem with nevideo.ax filter earlier, but it should be fixed in Nero 7.10.1.0.

Did a Deinstallation, rebooted and still found some *.ax filters in "Common Files".
Deleted them by hand, reboot, new installation of Nero 7.10.1.0 again and...
I can play my own clips without problems!
Thanks JohnV for the hint.
I found out, that nevideo.ax was an old one, but was overseen by old deinstaller and not overwritten by new one.

Can somebody try playing the following 30 second clips with latest Nero ShowTime:
http://morbo.org/nero/KK_clip1.vob
http://morbo.org/nero/KK_clip1.mp4
Do you see any difference in motion smoothness (the other plays less fluid than other?) in latest Showtime player.
There's some mixed results and I wish I got some input from here.

I didn't see any difference in motion smoothness.

Back in July it was mentioned that the LFE bug would have a file patch for it?
Any sign of it yet?

Browsed to a linked thread on the first page of this thread, and found it.
