One of the best features of StaxRip is the use of templates. With the correct template installed, StaxRip is instantly simplified. Unnecessary time consumption of learning all the settings for StaxRip is reduced to choosing a Template and loading a video file.

Adding a Template Build:
-Title the Post for Search purposes.

XviD StaxRip Template achieves High Quality video playback from a Hard Drive via USB, using the Philips DVP5982.
There are actually 2 templates, Crop for 2.35:1 videos, and NoCrop for 4:3 or 16:9 videos.

I restructured the old Templates with much better results.
It still underpins XviD Exact Size – Bitrate.
After initial video analysis, set bitrate to 3000, and StaxRip calculates the necessary quality.
Adjust quality:
Options > Aimed Quality (percent) > Match StaxRip’s calculation.
At this point resolution can be user defined and fixed; however, I prefer the StaxRip defaults.
Run Compressibility Check

New XviD Settings:
Quant Type– H.263 (square pixels) The rectangle MPEG didn’t look right.
Profile- Unrestricted
Adaptive Quant- OFF
QPEL- ON
Max BVOPs- 2
BVOP sensitivity- 25
Packed Bitstream- OFF
Trellis- OFF
VHQ- ON
Chroma motion- ON
Chroma optimizer- ON
I-Interval- 240

Sorry for the delayed reply, I haven't visited in awhile.

I don't think Staxrip has any standard Crop and NoCrop templates,
and i don't think there ever will be either.

It too easy with staxrip to create video profiles and filter profiles why post them.

Have fun experiment and create them yourself :)
