I've tried to remux videofile M2V and audio AC3 (stereo), MuxMan after 1 minute gives this error:
"Multiplex operation failed: Probably caused by excessive bitrate".
I've verified bitrate of both streams:
Audio = 128 Kbps
Video = 9 Mbts

With DVDPatcher I've lowered video bitrate to 3,5 Mbps, but the remux with MuxMan gives the same error.

If I try to work with DVDAuthor the error is:
**ERROR: [???] Too many frame drops -exiting
Why?
What is the soluction?

Thank!

Probably there are peaks > 9,7 Mbps in your m2v.
You cant lower the bitrate with DVDPatcher..header is patched only
You have to reencode or transcode your m2v to a lower bitrate.

Ok, Bigotti5
but I've lowered bitrate with DVDpatched on entire file...
in any case, what free software suggest me to reencode or transcode m2v file to lower bitrate?
I've used DGindex with no result!
thank

You cant lower the bitrate with DVDPatcher, you changed every header only

Dgindex is used to index the source mpg file for opening with an mpeg decoder in e.g avisynth.

Reencode (probably better results but slower):
HCenc (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/HC), Quenc (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/QuEnc)

Transcode:
Rejig (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/ReJig)
