So, there's the story: Got hdd with 25 GiB hdtv from sattelite on it, transport stream, plays very laggy and crappy using haali and coreavc, if converted to matroska via haali gdsmux, plays with excellent quality and w/o lags, but no seek in any direction is possible — video freezes. Any attempts to convert nor extract video from mkv intoduces a whole bunch of visual artefacts and glitches, most of the video appears to be corrupted all of a sudden. Video, when extracted, appears to be an mpeg1 elementary stream, as h.264 as well, according to what both MPC and GSpot claims. None of these are able to play nor render this stream though. Tried Nero Showtime just from boredom... And it plays this! Now, to teh bottom line: whos of the noble video geeks :) can tell me, what tool was used to create this nightmare and, more important, what tool could properly handle it, ffs? :thanks:

Hi!whos of the noble video geeks can tell me, what tool was used to create this nightmareCertainly, you would know this information, had you created the file.
Otherwise, you might want to RE-read the "Announcement" at the top of the "Newbies" sub-forum, as well as all of the Forum Rules (particularly #6)...

Ahem...
Apparently as you adequately put, i didn't create this file. Instead, i bought a hdd from some person, and before formatting it found it there. Besides, since when capturing a broadcast is a copyright violation. Huh?

You don't have the material legitimately. Hence thread closed. Be grateful you weren't struck.
