Hi everybody,

I got a problem with the directx/ddraw part of my System (Crappy Nvidia 6600):

A green or pink screen instead of a video with all players. I took me a while to figure out that its the due to the "Overlay Mixer" (If anyone knows how to fix this -> please let me know).

Same happens when I change to VMR7 or VMR9, for example in MediaPlayerClassic. But If I change to "Old Video Renderer" -> everything is fine.

I tried different vga-drivers (Uninstalled them with drivercleaner), and removed all the codecs I had installed (I suspected the HDX4 Codec since I tested that one a couple days before). But nothing.

So I'm gonna live with that bug till the next reinstall of Windows XP, but I would like to know if someone knows how to change the Renderer in the DivX Player (Registry ?) ?

So...any clues ?

try Radlight Filter Manager (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/RadLight_Filter_Manager) or similar tools

Thanks for the answer.

But it didn't work. I used Zoomplayer to reregister the dshowfiles. Now every player works again (Overlay Mixer)...except the DivX Player...strange.

Problem solved

It had something to do with the June Update of DirectX. Even after uninstalling DirectX (And rolling back to version 8 of the Windows XP CD) the problem was there.

But after installing the July Update:

It all works fine again. Thanks MS (But I guess they screwed up in the first time...so :p ).
