New x264 builds are still coming out, but the autoupdater sin't picking them up, why is that? Hasn't the xml file been updated so that it downloads the builds from somewhere else?

I haven't updated x264 yet because I haven't got around to it. I will soon.

A new version of megui (0.2.5.1007) is available on x264.nl
This version has the autoupdate fixes included :)
I am sure berrinam will update to x264 revision 663 (recommended revision) as soon as he can.
x264 revision 663 solves some blocking issue on certain video/decoder combinations.

Just out of curiosity, could all custom matrices be included in the autoupdates? I'm especially interested in those figured out from noisy HD-DVDs (Fox-something, I think)

Can I substitute enc_aacPlus.exe for neroAACEnc?

Very different, but support is already included: Codec is called Winamp AAC, and the profiles are CTAAC-*.
