Hi

I'm new to this forum, I recently brought a Capture Card and I've been capturing video (the software is Arcsoft TotalMedia 3). However when I try to play it on VLC it rejects it and says there's an error. I was franticly looking for a solution and found AVIDemux, however almost every file I encode on it goes out of sync, I would have to convert to AVI and then use AVIMux to get it back in sync again, It's an annoying problem but my question is:

1) Is there a MPEG-2 demuxing software that is free, GUI, and usually wouldn't get my files out of sync?

:thanks:

I use ProjectX mostly (command line version, but there is also a Java version that is more like a GUI). This has handled just about all troubles with sync, giving me a .m2v file and a .ac3 file with a 0ms delay value. The other option is to use DGIndex on your recorded file. This will produce a .d2v file which is an index of your file, and allows the correspoding AVI Synth function set DGDecode to open your video file for conversion to the format of your choice. This method though is not tolerant of errors in your stream, and will probably cause sync issues.

Those are the tools I use, let me know if you want any more details.
