How to rip a DVD menu?

Hope this is the right forum.

I used to be a motion graphics designer / DVD author. I have a commercial DVD that I made some years ago. I have the after effects projects and everything and need to reproduce parts of the disc for a showreel.

My question is:

How do I rip a DVD menu including sub pictures (both stills and motion)? Is this possible?

The menus are in VIDEO_TS.VOB and VTS_XX_0.VOB

I am going to assume the DVD is unencrypted (otherwise you will need a decrypting solution).

If you wish to extract individual cells of the menu, PgcDemux or VobBlanker (http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm) is the tool for you. In order to identify which cells you might wish to extract, you could preview them in PgcEdit (http://www.videohelp.com/~r0lZ/pgcedit/index.html), VobBlanker or DVD Remake Pro (http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/index.php) (which can also extract the cells).

There are nice demuxing tools at www.dvd-logic.com
But not freeware..
