I have been messing around with my PVR cards.
The problems I am having are these.
My PVR set top box is bust and I have been trying to set up something till I get it back.
I have a winfast PVR2000 and a Winfast DTV2000h .. in the pc together they don't go well ....and as I'm studying full time I don't have the $ to set up two PC's that are good enough to run the DVT2000h as it's a bit resource hungry.. it barely runs in my 3 year old amd xp 2600 barton with 1 gig ram.
the PVR2000 does a great job but does not have digital decoder .. so there's my problem .. I want to capture digital free to air through it by running my topfield set top box into the s-video and the pay tv into the cvbs input ... but how do I get the sound to switch .. Winfast PVR2 does not seem to allow recording of the line in on the sound card or let individual settings for either inputs (CVBS or S-Video) .. so if I'm not here to flick a audio input switch I get the wrong sound maybe ... I've messed around by putting the topfield unit's sound into the line in of the sound card.. but the pvr seems to always record from the sound input that passes through it .
anybody understand this or have a solution ... short of a programmable auto audio switch or other software apart from winfast PVR2 I'm stumped.
thanks
