I have just backed up a disc and its over sized. Theres only 2 sub tracks and 5 audio tracks, i have scenaid set to safe -30. The last couple of backups i have done have worked fine with this settings coming out at 4.32GB or 4.33GB but this one has come out at 4.47GB.

The only difference i can tell between this and the last hand full is this one had a DTS track that i unticked in dif4u.

Now the avg bitrate that dif4u and scenaid gives is often similar but this time they very a fair bit.

Dif4u max.8968 avg.3882
Scenaid max.8776 avg.4090

I believe there is a couple of extras on the disc which i might be able to re-encode on this one to shrink it down a bit more but does anyone have a idea as to why i got a over sized disc this time round ?? could it possible be the removal of the DTS track ??

OK, not sure what the problem was but i have this one sort. For some reason the first scan scenaid done when create a new d2v, dummy audio etc it gave the bit rate above but if after that i close scanaid then re-open it do a scan of the folder again but this time it skips the new d2v , dummy audio etc as they are already there it gave me a bitrate that was...

max.8776, avg.3899

The output was 4.33GB so i not sure if scanaid just got a bit confused first time round due to the removal of the dts or not.
