Hi,

I have a strange thing with surcode. It won't encode at 786 bitrate. If i set this bitrate, then it produces a file with 1.5 mbps. Is it something wrong with the source?

Here I have a DTS file with 768 kbps which I have to transcode for different framerate. I have decoded it with foobar to 32-bit wav and then in besweet changed a framerate and splitted to 6 channels (32-bit float). Should i use 16-bit or so?

Thanks

hello,

i have exactly the same problem !
i just receive 6 32bits wave files from a lab. After converting them to 16bits (because i can't encode in DD files in 32bits), i tried to make a DTS stream with surcode at 768kbps my stream is a 1,5mbps stream (it seems to be, about 800Mo for 70 mins), but seen at 768 in both maestro & gspot...
The most surprising thing is that when i encode at 1,5Mbps i have a file which makes only a 700Mo file ! (seen at 1,5M in both maestro & gspot)
Is this software just bullshit or is there something wrong with my files ?
Is there another way to encode in DTS ?

many thanks :)

Set it to 1536kbps in Options and fix the encodes Outoput with Besliced 0.3..

Sometimes with 32bit wavs and 1.5Mbps encoding Surcode Output is doublesized or wrong Runtime..Besliced will fix it

Simply run Besliced.exe and drag&drop your dts into the windows and select "fix"

thanks ACrowley !
i put my 6 wavs in 16 bit, selected 768kbps & fixed the resulting file and it is ok in both size & duration :)
however the sound looks very loww but it's another problem ;)

many thanks anyway
