I just love RipIt and Decrypter as a combo tool but I have the very odd random problem I cannot seem to solve. When I attempt to do a backup on some disks, RipIt attempts to launch DVD Decrypter and suddenly the following DVD Decrypter Error message appears: Interface Runtime Exception! Message = Out of System Resources.
This is followed by the error message "The Parameter is incorrect."

Now here's the wierd part: If I close off the programs and simply launch Decrypter alone, it doesn't give me this error message. It only happens with certain disks. Any ideas of what is causing it?

Are you running Dual Core?

@figaro14

Yes, I'm running in Core 2 Duo. Region 1 DVDs. Titles that cause problems vary a lot. A different title from the same company can act up. I was trying to back up some Frasier shows and it did it to me on only some of the disks -- but not all of them.

Had the same problem but now it is gone I have no idea why. You can do this everytime you launch RipIt or when it happens, shut it down & relaunch, then set the affinity in task manager to one core or the other, not both.

Thanks. How does one set the affinity in task manager? I've never done this before.

Launch the program, launch Task Manager, right click on the program you wish to set affinity for in Task Manager, you will get a drop down menu, select Set Affinity & a window will pop up, uncheck one of the boxes.

Yeah! That solved the problem on the disk I tried today. So just out of curiousity, what in the Dual Core is causing this? Or is it too complicated to explain? Thanks! I greatly appreciate the help. I was ready to abandon the program for fear it was too buggy.

You are welcome, but an explanation of what actually causes it is beyond my limited knowledge, sorry.
