I have a 10 bit blackmagic video file. I used virtualDub to uncompress it. How do I know if the uncompressed file is still 10 bits?

Where should I look for the information (pixel format) of the 10 bit black magic video file?

Anyone has the information about how the 10 bit codec works?

Sorry for all these newbie questions all together..

When you've got the file open in virtualdub, go to file->file information and see check which decompressor is being used.
If it's uncompressed 10-bit the fourcc will probably be v210. More information on the format is available in Blackmagic's Decklink Directshow SDK (http://www.blackmagic-design.com/downloads/software/Decklink_DirectShow_SDK_6.1.1.zip).
