I had major puter problems and had to replace it.
I managed to salvage a slave drive on which I had several .iso files created by Image Burn.
Downloaded latest version of Image Burn and burned the .iso file which, believe it or not, appeared on the freshly burned DVD in Audio and Video form.
I didn't think this could happen, so I tried on another .iso file and, the same thing happened.
What am I doing wrong?
Cheers

Hi!
If by "appeared on the freshly burned DVD in Audio and Video form" you mean that your burned DVD contains two FOLDERS, named "VIDEO_TS" and "AUDIO_TS", that's perfectly normal (The "AUDIO_TS" folder is empty).
But you would already be aware of this from examining your original, commercial DVDs...

What I don't understand is that I burned an .iso file

No problem!
An ISO is an image of the DVD, with the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders in the image. You don't burn it as a single file on the media, but you burn the contents of the ISO. In other words, you copy a virtual DVD on a physical DVD. When you open the DVD, you see the content of the ISO, not the ISO file.

If you are trying to burn a data disk to back up the .ISO file, don't use ImgBurn. It was originally designed specifically to burn normal video DVDs from .ISO files, so it should be no surprise that it worked for that purpose.

ImgBurn (www.imgburn.com) can burn an ISO as an ISO data file without problem. Just answer no to the prompt.

None IMO, but it seemed the OP wanted to save his ISOs :)

Hmm most odd!
To backup the ISO (as a file) you'd obviously need to use Build mode. By the sounds of it, the OP is in Write mode.
You only get the prompt to check you're not being dumb when you attempt to burn an ISO in Build mode - I'm pretty sure it doesn't then automatically switch to Write mode and burn it.
