My Window 98 don't letting to connect my external dvd drive and neither recognize blank cd in cd drive that is already with it. any ideas peoples'? please help me out. Thanks!

Again we need way more info !

Does the drive (internal) show in BIOS ?
Does the drive (internal/external) show up in device manager ?
Doesn't the drive come with a driver disk ? Are you sure you have the correct drivers for Win'98 ?
Does any of the drives use compatible modus ?

What are your drive/compu specs ?

Did you try mscdex to get things working ???
