Program (Besides Media Player Classic) to get video thumbnails?

Hi,

I know Media Player Classic has the great feature to save thumbnails from a video but for some reason mine won't work it always gives an error so is there an alternative program that can do the same thing?

Sure. VirtualDub works just fine for this purpose. Just open the AVI (or other media file through an AviSynth wrapper script if necessary) and select the frame(s) you want to grab using the left and right arrows to set an in and out point. Then export the individual frames by using file -> export -> image sequence.
