I'm currently using RipIt4Me to rip DVDs. As you know, it copies the whole structure of the DVD to a folder on your hard drive.
My next step is to make MP4s out of it, to use on my portable media player. Most of the processes to do that here start with "mux the media file" and go from there.
However, I'm using RipIt4Me, so I don't just have the VOB of the movie: I have the whole disk. DVD Decrypter doesn't seem to be able to start from a directory on the hard drive, it wants a "drive".
So, what's the method to use RipIt4Me to deal with "bad" DVDs but just get the VOBs (and ifo and chapter info files that, say, MeGUI wants)? What I did, which was terrible, was to use Nero to make an ISO out of the ripped files, then use DaemonTools to mount that iso, and point DVD Decrypter back at that, and use File mode to grab the VOB I wanted.
There's got to be a better way. I must be missing something.
Thanks.
