How would I go about putting a DivX video onto a DVD?

A great feeware app that makes this very easy is VSO ConvertXtoDVD (at least the old version is free, the newer ones are payware, but very cheap).

Do you simply want to burn your DivX-compressed .AVI file to a DVD (for playback on a DivX-compatible standalone DVD player) or, do you want to convert the file to compliant DVD format (>IFOs, .BUPs, and .VOBs) for playback as DVD?

I know how to put the IFOs, BUPs, and VOBs on DVD, I use ImgBurn for that. I would like to know how to put the DivX- compressed .avi file on a DVD.

Simply burn the file (unaltered) to DVD as a "Data DVD"...
