CCE SP2.7 and Interlaced

Hi folks

My first time here and using CCE.
I'm producing a video for a company using Sony Vegas - PAL settings.
I have captured in Vegas as bottom field first.

In CCE FAQ Setup / Advanced / Offset Line it says to leave the setting at 0, for upper field first. As I am in PAL land, should that setting be 1?

The program will be viewed on a 4:3 Tv which as we all know is interlaced. Can you advise please.

Since your video is bottom field you should NOT select to output to upper field and so the offset line should be 0.

If you want the output to be upper field first (there is no reason to want it but in earlier versions of CCE there was no option for it and the software always outputted upper field) you should select the upper field and the offset line should be 1.

So in other words
Offset line=0 when input and output is the same field order
Offset line=1 when input and output are different field order
