Improve x264/H.264-related Wikipedia articles?

I've been working a bit on x264 and some others like CAVLC and CABAC. It would be nice to have some people with more technical knowledge of the specifications and features to improve these articles.

Well it was just a general suggestion. For one, it would be nice to make sure they were entirely correct.

Other things to add might be more information on CABAC/CAVLC and an article on Trellis quantization, along with more information on how quantization matrices work (currently there's just a small article section on the topic).

I second this motion. As a relatively recent user I am still suffering from the fragmentation of the available info.
Distilling a good part of the stuff discussed in these fora into official doc would go a long way in "professionalising" x264 as a tool.

Personally I am trying to come up with an "options process flow" diagram, whose main purpose would be to clarify the mutually exclusive options.
I have a very rough draft which I've just started, which I propose to all for critique.
At this stage it's a document by me, for me. It must be formalised before it can become anything official.

At some point in the future I'm planning on doing two things with that page:
o abstracting it specifically from megui, so it's a little more generic (only includes x264 options, for example)
o including more background information on each setting, as well as usage recommendations, etc etc
