Converting to "Xvid ISO MPEG-4 format"

Can anyone please explain to me what to do to convert videos (all formats) to the format which is explained here :

Please note that everything must be the same! (container, video audio ...)

Is it possible to permanently add subtitles during this conversion?

The specs there look pretty bad to me, but well, the procedure is the same for all files as long as you're targeting XviD, it's YOU who choose resolution, framerate, bitrate, etc
Strange thing though, audio is described as MP2 there, so make sure you encode your audio to MP2, not MP3. VirtualDubMod should be able to mux MP2 audio into AVI (I guess).

Thank you for your answer, but the problem is that I don't know which codec to use, and how to pack in avi 1.1 container.

(I am trying to make the same video, like the one which creates my xvid camcorder, so i can use it to watch movies on it. That is why I am trying to make everything exactly the same)

Well nanek, you need the XviD codec for video, MPEG Layer II for audio & VirtualDubMod for muxing.

XviD Video Codec (http://www.koepi.org/XviD-1.1.2-01112006.exe)
Belight (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/BeLight.htm) + tooLame (http://www.afterdawn.com/software/audio_software/audio_encoders/toolame.cfm)
VirtualDubMod (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=65889&release_id=201544)

So, past toolame.exe in Belight's folder to be able to convert your audio stream in to MP2 as the following settings :
Frequency : 22050Hz
Bitrate : 64 Kb/s
Mode : Mono (1channel)

Now open your video using VDubMOD & choose XviD as compressor (for Xvid config, choose "Portable NTSC" as profile & set the bitrate you want) then use the built-in filtre to resize your video to 320x240.

Finally, import the MP2 file ("Streams" menu in vdub) & save using this option activated : "Save AVI in old 1.0"

OK, I have tried everything you guys said. Nothing helps.

I have tried to re-create the movie which i recorded with camera, by using VirtualDub, Direct stream copy for video option, and it works when I send it back to camera. With my xvid mpeg4 compressor it didn't work.
This means that my xvid compressor is not the same like the one in a camera (or it is not set properly) so everything I compress with my xvid compressor, camera doesn't read.

On G-spot, I have noticed that there are some differences between cameras video and the video which my xvid compresses, in the video and codec info (the name of the codec is not the same XVID ISO MPEG4 and XVID 1.1.2 or something like that).

Please tell me how to set my xvid mepg4 codec or where to finnd the one which is the same like the camera's.

....There are so many BVOP, NVOP, I FRAMES etc... stuff to be set, and I would like to ask somebody who knows this stuff to check out video information which I posted and explain to me how to set my encoder to get the video with those characteristics.

Can you upload a sample of the video? A gspot page isn't enough to clearly determine what will and won't work. It could be as simple as something in the userdata.

Try using MPEG4Modifier to change the userdate tag from XviD0047 to Zoran. Also though your file uses MPEG and the other uses H.263.

OK I have tried to change user data to Zoran and it doesn't work.

What does actually mean quant type h.263 or MPEG. It looks like important parameter.

Hyper_Thread has made an excellent clone of my video but it still doesn't work.
Maybe is problem with those quant types? How can that be changed?

Normally, hardware playback devices supports h.263 & MPEG matrices. A problem can occur when a custom matrix is used.
Look at Quantization Types in the encoder config, you can switch between H.263, MPEG or Custom matrix.
