By chance has anyone come across this error?
"Video Compression error: The source Image format is not acceptable, (Error code -2)"

I have tried everything I can think of.

Movie: Stargate SG1 season one Disks 1 - 5
Region code is USA
Using AutoGK & dvd43 also tried MPEG Mediator with similar results.

Have tried directly from DVD and tried backing up with dvdshrink to folders on hdd. In all cases I get similar errors.

Up until now I have been able to backup with autogk without any issue.

any insite would be appreciated.

1) Do not use DVD43

2) Use RipIt4Me or DVDFab Decrypter to rip your original DVD...

I will try thoes utilities instead of dvd43.

On a side note, I was able to rip the dvd to an iso and play it successfully, however I was still inable to get autogk to make an avi from that same ISO. With this in mind do you think it is still dvd43?

Ok I tried ripit4me and still was un able to convert this to avi. After ripit4me created the iso I tried using AutoGK to create the AVI. Unfortunately I got the same error.

Anyone have any Ideas?

You should be able to rip the episodes individually with DVD Decrypter in IFO mode before you feed them into AutoGK. I had no troubles with that process.

I had the same problem and it turned out that when in AutoGK in advanced settings it was in divx codec. Then I Switched it to xVid and it worked fine. So just make sure you go to advance settings and switch the codec to xvid

Hello,
I'm having the same problem.
'The Source Image is not acceptable. (error code -2)', which appears after AC3 filtre, (see attached log). I orriginally cured this problem by removing and then reloading both DivX and AutoGK.
This worked fine for months then I tidyed up system with norton system works and afterwards found it only works on Xvid. Again I tried the remove and reload trick, but to no avail.
On trying the trial DivX converter that came with download, i was informed that there appeared to be no AC3 filter. Downloaded said filter and DivX converter works fine, unfortunatley AutoGK still fails in DivX whilst working in Xvid.
I run DVD43 and rip with DVDShrink3.2, but as mentioned this all worked fine untill i got bored and medaled!
If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated. I've attached copy of AutoGk Log
Thanks Pogopogo

hello,I'm sorry I posted the same problem withot checking it was already being discussed, aniway I m having the same problem.
I changed dvd decripter an used instead fab, error persists.
I switch fron divx to xvid, error persists.
If I try to to preview,I get a direct stream error.

ok,I uninstalled all codecs and agk, afterwards i installed last version of direct show codecs and agk again.
The problem about the preview continues, nevertheless agk is now ripping apparently without problem,
It seems that we are dealing with some kind of codecs problem.
