Help with slicing my Xvid files

I have Xvid backups of my DVDs with AutoGK.
I am having problems with my media player (fast forwarding the files) Mvix's HD760.

So, the company's support want me to send one of my Xvid files. Can anyone point me to a program that would enable me to take a slice of my Xvid backup (ie 10 minutes of film) that I could use and send?

Use VirtualDub. Set a range on the timeline and then do direct stream copy for audio and video.
